I have never been the best with using the view range....I just usually get it to work....in this case however I am stumped. I have a structural view in which I have set my top offset, my cutplane to 0. The bottom range and the view depth have a value, which is ok. I have an underlay of the level below as well. The trusses above are still showing up in the view, which I cannot have. The only thing I can think of is the tail to the trusses, but the whole truss is showing up, not just the tails??? Any suggestions.

I have also tried applying a filter, but for some reason, I can't get my new project parameter to show up in the filter list under filters, but it is in the structural framing families, etc.???

With certain family types, the entire object is displayed if any part intersects the cut plane. Turn off the plan view visibility in the family; substitute symbolic lines with subcategories to control the visibility in specific views.
