Changing object level

I am trying to find how to change the associated level of an outlet. When I go into the object properties it is grayed out, why? Is there a way to change it? In the attached image you can see what I am talking about.

i think the problem that you are having is that the wall hosts the outlet, so the outlet takes up the walls level. you would have to create a new outlet that did not need a wall host to be able to change the associated level like you ask.

For some objects this will be greyed out - something the programming gods did to us. Dunno why. For those type objects copy or cut the object to the clipboard and then use the menu to paste to slected level.

when you select the object, is there a Rehost button that appears on the Options toolbar? This should change the vertical 'host' level.aloha,
