We have a workstation with AutoCAD 2006 Win XP P4 1GB RAM. When acad is opened the properties tool palette is scrunched up real small vertically and when you try to select it, the palette would disappear, move the cursor away and it appears again. Strange, all the other way that I know of getting it to display do not work as well. Dbl click on an object, _properties, picking it from the tool bar nothing works. Anyone have this problem before or can give a suggestion on fixing the problem.

Do you have a heavily customised profile? If not the you could create a new profile which should have everything back to default and delete the old one.

It just depends how much you have customised your current one.

No we don't have much customization at all, pretty much straight out of the box. The workstation if for an Engineer who does a little cad work mostly lines and text.

I would just create a new profile then and reset any tool bars you require.

Tried that didn't work, we are going to try a repair and then if that doesn't work a full re-install. Thanks for your thoughts.

Hi Mike,

You might have a look at THIS (http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/ps/item?siteID=123112&id=2891155&linkID=2475323) and see if it helps.

Thanks again gentlemen, after some more discussion I discovered that he had run Norton system works on his computer to clean things up and the registry was changed. I did a repair and that has fixed the problem.

Thanks again

Mike
