Change values of attibutes automatically.

I have a script file to change attributes in a block but the issue I have is that I must put in the exact existing text that needs changed. Does any one know how or have maybe a lisp or vba routine that will change a particular attribute in a block to something new no matter what the existing text is. What I'm trying to do is reset my title block attributes to use the field codes in old drawing to work with my sheet sets. Each job has different information in the attribute. I'd like to run a script or routine that will reset them all automatically for me to preset information.

Thanks.you should be using the sheet set manager properties for your 'job information', and the attributes in your title block will have fields linked to this for constant coordination.

That is what I want to do. I have some old jobs that have title block info that needs changed. I want a automated way to change the attributes in the old title block no matter what the existing text is to be the field codes that work with my sheet set manager. I have a script that does it but it only works if I type in the script file the exact text that needs replaced. So with that I have to change the script file every time I want to use it on a old set of drawings.
