hello to all,

i m working on some of 3d dwgs. in AUTOCAD 2006. where i have prepare some 3d parts as well as some details 2d dwgs with TEXT & DIMENSIONS.as well as i have some simple 2D dwgs with all details in another file.

while pasting the 2D created in 3D file, as well as saperate 2D file with all details
i m getting different look of all the dimensions as well as text of the details which are from 3d file.

so anybody help me to solve this
that helps me to reprepare all again, as well as to saperate out the 2D and 3D in different files.

Hi Ashish.

Do you have the same dimension and text styles defined in both the 3d and 2d source files? If so, are their details (fonts, sizes, etc) different?
Would you like to post files that show the differences?

Quick-and-Dirty;

If you explode all your dimensions before going to 2D, it should preserve the dimension formats, although if you used the dimension styles to control "properties" like lineweight and color, those properties will change to be the same as the layer the dimensions are on after you explode them.
