I have been asked to do a couple of things for my company. They want to centralize some custom (office) files. We have 75 to 80 workstations that we need to change paths for loaded programs and we want to centralize the menus so that when we change something we can change it once, and make all the workstations follow.

Unfortunately I am self taught, and I have not had to deal with this many workstations before. Now I need to step up or get a new job. HELP!

Am I making any sense?

Thanks
Jonathan

Options
Files Tab

Customization Files

Main Customization Files

Enterprise Customization Files

You should already have the Main one mapped to a location per each user like this C:\Documents and Settings\User Directory Name Here\Application Data\Autodesk\AutoCAD 2006\R16.2\enu\Support

I think all you would need to do is map your Company CUI file in the Enterprise section.
Then write a script point everybody to the new directory for your Enterprise CUI. Then only thing I'm not sure is which file you'll modify in the script for the path mapping.

Notes on the Philosophy of CUI (http://forums.augi.com/showthread.php?t=18955) may be of some intrest to you, also.
