I'm trying to make the leader of my wall tag thicker than 1. So I changed the number of it in Object Styles, Wall Tags, Leader, but it did not change. Is there some reason why this wouldn't work?

you might have to change the thickness of the leader head itself.

I hope this is what you are looking for.

I'm trying just to thicken the leader line itself. In this image, I did it by laying a detail line over the top, but does anyone know of any way to do this without "faking it"?

There is no way to adjust the line weigh of a leader in Revit. Your detail line over the leader is one way to fake it. You could also create a Heavy End arrow head style that is the same length as the leader line. Not an elegant solution...

If you are serious about this you can add a subcategory to your tags so the box or frame uses a separate category than the main Wall Tag for example. This would allow you to increase the Annotation Line Weights a bit so Pen 1 is heavier. Naturally this will affect any other annotation objects assigned to Pen 1 so tread carefully.

The attached is after adding a new subcategory to wall tags called Frame. I increased the Pen 1 lineweight and increase "Frame" as well. Left is the "poppier" one

It IS actually possible. I finally found it right in the help menu. If you go to Settings, Annotations, Arrowheads, you can create you own leader with a defined thickness and length. I made it just the way I wanted it. Just trying to keep those nit-picky ACAD worshippers happy...

Don't take any grief from those guys James. Just be sure to remind them how much you were able to accomplish in day or week with Revit.
