I have attached two blocks i am currently working on. The one on the left (AG curves) is complete as long as i dont think of more to add to it. The one on the right (VB curve) has me stumped. Currently i am trying to add another lookup to show the same block with out the motor (more options to follow...lol). I can set it up to work but i was wondering if anyone has an idea that might make it easier or cleaner.

One other question....Under the property lookup table (add propeties) there is the option to add lookup properties as oppsed to input properties. Has anyone used this?

It works well how you have it ...... but .....

All I can say is that you're gonna have a LOT of vis states (lookups) .....

Never played with Lookup Properties ...... yet .......

for having a dual purpose block like that where you might need to change wether or not you have a motor, or what type of motor.....
ok, short explanation. you will have to multiply the number of track types (angles) to the number of motor states you want (types and/or 'none') to come up with the # of vis states you are going to need to get what you want (cleanly).

my recommendation is to have a 'non-printing' motor placement node on your curve block and have a really awesome motor block to insert when needed at the location node.

otherwise, neat block!

I have brought that curve block a bit further. Now i am having trouble keeping grip points where the belong. I applogize for some of the parameters not being labled but it is a work in progress.
The problem area lies in the 180 deg Vis state. What i am trying to accomplish is stretchin the 2 90%%d curves away from each other. The hiccup comes to light when i try and change the over all width of the curves (16bb 22bb 28bb....etc) any suggestions

Update: the curve i posted works...oops...now i just need to figure out how make the min distance work

Update:the curve didnt work the left grip sent things haywire...arrrgggg

I'm going to offer my humble opinion, here ....

I think you're over complicating things as far as this block goes. I'm going to offer my input but I need more info ....

What is the difference between your TT vis state and the regular vis state?

The TT curve has a diffrent inside radius.
A little background....This curve is a conveyor. There are 5 diffrent width conveyors (16 22 28 34 40).
There are 5 diffrent angles (30 45 60 90 180) plus the TT (true taper) curves witch have a different inside radius but maintain the same widths. With this block i am trying to be able to insert one type of curve and be able to change it to the required size. As of right now the 180 is giving me trouble. What seems to be the problem is when i try to add some length between the to 90 deg curves. I could have done this with vis states only but i was attemping to modify the geometry to keep my visibility states to a minimum (as in the other curve drawing posted previously)

Hope this helps.....

A little more info needed ....

When you say you want to add some length between the 90%%D curves are you talking about the right stretch or left stretch?

I am able to stretch it to the left and gain length with no problems. But when I stretch to the right ... that's when it goes wonky on me ...

don't know why the right node won't move when changing sizes tho...

Got IT!!!!!!!

I needed to include the entire distance parameter and add a seperate stretch to the left side. that way the radius (distance parameter) moved with distance6. Sound confuseing?...It is...lol
