View Full Version : Custom Scale & View Titles

I have a view with a custom scale of 1"=100' (why does Revit not ship with this scale?) but have noticed that I can not get the view title to say Scale: 1"=100'. Instead it reads Scale: 1=1200.

What can I do to fix this? Is there a way to add 1"=100' to a 'scale list' somewhere? I know I can make the Scale: x=xxx a text parameter in the View Title family, but feel that should be a last ditch effort (because I, uh, like doing things the correct way.)

TIA.

I just ran into the same problem. I can't believe there is no way to add custom view scales to the list. Right when you need to get something out, you have another workaround to slow you down! Just another reason to chew on the ol' support team.

Creating a custom scale like 1:1199 is as easy as choosing "Custom" from the scale drop down and then entering the number in the separate field provided...

However the complaint that the common scale or 1"=100' isn't on the list and will display as 1=1200 is quite valid.
