Well I have made this Timber structure and can not for the life of me be able to get the 4x8 valley rafters to come out right. I have always had problems with trying to make whatever out of these weird angles. Can someone help me out here. Thanks

I'm not sure how to do this in a family, since there is no rafter family loaded. In a regular building model, I draw a ref plane down the valley and then draw the valley beam in the section that is cut very close to the ref plane. It has worked flawlessly thus far. See attached.

If you draw a grid line in place of your ref plane then you can use a structural elevation to cut directly at that grid line. It will eliminate trying to cut a section as close as you can. Check the first tutorial with R9.0. This is how I learned about the feature.
