Augi's:

Paul Aubin (Mastering ADT) explains how to add a custom display block into a door style. He unfortunately does not show how he made the block but merely has us take a premade block from his disk to use. He shows the block with "Scaling Points located on the Defpoints layer. Block will scale to these points rather than block extants." I can't find information anywhere on "Scaling Points". How is this done?

I am trying to create window trim attached to my window styles (why AutoDesk did not include this very standard item is a great mystery). I'd like it to show in plan, elevation and model views.

Any help would be tremendously appreciated.

Were you able to get your question answered?

The "scaling points" are just two points on the Defpoints layer that define the extent of an imaginary box. I.e. use the point command to place two points at opposite corners, then select them along with the line work when creating the block.
