Select All Instances Greyed Out

I have gone through some modifications of window types, and I am now trying to minimize the number of different types in the project. I purged the file for all unused types. However, there are two types which I don't believe I am using anywhere in the project that still show up in the project browser. When I right click on the window type, the "select all instances" option is greyed out. Yet when I try and delete the type, I get a message that there is 1 instance of the type. Where could this instance be located?

Have you created a legend with the window in it? That will stop Revit from purging that type.

An unused group definition could do the same thing....
