door and window tags

does anyone know why you might not be able to see your door and window tags in plan even though they are turned on?

also, if you change the "mark" numbers in your door and window schedules, shouldn't they automatically change in the floor plans?

It might be that you had the "tag on placement" option unchecked when placing the doors or windows. With this option unchecked, your doors and windows will not come in with a tag. To remedy this, just go to your drafting tab and select Tag<tag all not tagged. This should fix your visibility issue.

This all depends on what your schedule fields are set up as. Check to see if your schedule field is set to "Type Mark" instead of "mark". You may be changing the door or window designation, but if you do not use the correct schedule field, the change will not register. Remember, "mark" is an instance parameter and "type mark" is a type parameter.
