The use of match lines with revit

I take it this just doesn't happen in revit? What are some ways people are getting around using match lines with big projects? Any help/tips would be appreciated. Thanks.

You just draw a matchline, or create a family that looks the way you want. Then copy your floorplans and adjust the crop regions as required. If you wish to do a keyplan, you create an overall floor plan, then use callouts to callout the diff. areas. There is room for improvement in this task but it is fairly easy.

Here's two ideas to chew on:

Create a new Gridline family type...change the linetype and lineweight. Either use a different grid head family and fill in values like A/B, B/C, C/D or perhaps no grid head at all. Just use distinctly different values for the gridline "name" so it doesn't interfere with real grids. If you don't use the Matchline grid "name", you can create an annotation symbol to label them individually, not very parametric but very flexible.

Create a family that uses an invisible line with a height parameter. The place a symbolic Matchline in plan and assign a length parameter. Now this family will show up in any plan view cut by the invisible line depending on its height. It will not show up in elevations automatically unless you add model lines to planes in elevation views but that introduces more issues....

I'm leaning toward the first, Gridlines as matchlines...
