View Full Version : Copy View Crop Boundaries between Views

I've got several multi-story towers I'm working and for each I am copying the Plan, rotating the Crop Boundary and pulling it in to match the extents I want on the sheet... and I've got a lot of them.
I don't think there is but I'm hoping that there is a way to take the Crop Boundary from one View and copy it to other Views. In AutoCAD I would have done this once then copied the file and changed the Xref path... maybe it can't be done but it would be nice.
On a related note, is there a way to get Views in the same position on multiple sheets?

The best way is to create a callout, rotate its crop, then copy paste align to all your other floors.

It's working well... but I do have one question... when I create the scope box and rotate it to the match the angle of the building and then call it from another view the extents of the view don't match the rotated scope box... it's almost as if they're still seeing what the extents would be if the view were not rotated.
it's not a huge deal but does require a bit of manipulation of the view title when dragging it onto a sheet... not to mention wishing it would fill the screen a bit more...

But it usually has more to do with other objects present than just the scope box feature.
