Please see the attached pictures.

I am wanting to attach sidewall diffusers as shown in the picture and acatually make them a part of the air system except when you place a sidewall diffuser on to duct it breaks the duct work at the diffuser and actually places that diffuser at the end of that duct work....which kinda makes the name "side wall difuser" a little misleading. What is the correct method to attaching this air terminal to the side of duct as shown in the "sidewall diffuser problem.jpg", so that it is included in the attachment of the rest of the duct accessories and fittings. ( in other words if i were to move the duct these air terminals will follow or if I tabb 3 times while hovering over the duct it will grab everyghing attached to the duct system, including these sidewall difusers.

Hi pporter,

I am new to the Revit Mep and have a similar problem. We are doing residential design and I need to run duct as far as the stud wall and then place the registers below in between the studs.

If you have anything related to this issue please post or e-mail me at stsar06@yahoo.ca.

Thank you Stan

Stan, the original post is from 2006 and quite a bit has changed since then. My first question for you Stan, "What version are you currently running?"

When placing the sidewall diffuser, look at the contextual ribbon state, see place air terminal on duct...BAM
