View Full Version : Hosted Visibility in Plan Regions

Working on a parking garage and I'm having a problem getting parking stalls to show up on the ramps (actually sloped floors). Parking stalls are hosted to the floors and I can see all of them that are on the level floors of course but even when I try every combination of Plan Region settings I can think of I can't get them to display along with their hosted floor on the sloped portions.

Ultimately I need to be able to see and number every stall in the garage. When I was doing these in AutoCAD and ADT I would place my cut line on a grid line so that it would be easier to count all the stalls. In Revit if I use a sloped floor (which is what it actually is) I am forced to see the thickness of the floor cut in plan at a shallow angle... so it's quite wide.

Any ideas as to how I can achieve what I'm after?

Not sure what the problem is. What I have done is to draw the deck as a sloped floor. The Parking stalls are auto hosted to the floor. I make a plan region for the next up ramp and place the stalls on that ramp. Them I tag the parking spaces and number them.

Hope this helps

Yeah... that's what I think I did but I couldn't get it working. Tomorrow morning I'll break out what I was doing to a new file and post it here... maybe someone call school me on what I'm missing. Thanks though for letting me know I'm on the right track!

If I may ask, what was the solution?

take a look at Doug's file - imagine a line in section that you would need to have your cut planes set to in order to see everything and then, using a series of Plan Regions and/or View settings for the View, make the necessary adjustments. I struggled with it for awhile until I realized what I was supposed to be looking for.
