One of my colleagues wishes to place a note over his drawing that is not transparent (similar to post-it or solid note) but does not want to lose the information under the note's location. Any ideas. We run on Autocad lt 2000

I don't know if LT has it, but the wipeout command would work for this. You would place this above your drawing and the text above it.
If there isn't a wipeout command, then use a solid or draw a boundary and hatch it with a solid hatch. Set it's color to 255. In your pen setting, set 255 with 0 screening. It might look gray on the screen, but it will plot out white.

THANKS HEAPS FOR THAT INFORMATION. DIDN'T HAVE WIPEOUT COMMAND BUT USED SECOND ALTERNATIVE AND GUESS WHAT......IT WORKS!!!!! DEBBIS IN OZ
