HELP! Im getting an error when trying to underlay

Error Message Says:

Can't edit the element until 'User' resaves the element to central and relinquishes it and you Reload Latest.

I am in my Lower Level floor plan and i am trying to underlay my Main Level Floor plan!

Ive tried to save to central and do it again, i closed Revit and re opened it. I created a new central file and re saved it to my computer and nothing works!!

Anyone have any advise!!

make sure all users that have worked on the file goto file - save to central and besure all elements are set to be relinquised upon save....then go back to the user thats having the error and redo the overlay.

I run into this when multiple people are working on a drawing..if someone works on a drawing you are trying to underlay you can often run into this error.

To clarify, you probably have the user "User", checked out the view workset.Make him relinquish and you're ready to go

We've actually detached the file from the central file and created a new central file and i am actually the only one who has worked on it now.
