How would you make a square plastic dome skylight?

Square, like a square pyramid? Sloped glazing works well for that.

I think he means square-base with a dome top. Best analogy I can think of is the ones that look like a ravioli......(must be lunch time!)

ohhh yeah one of those things.... I would make it as a sweep, with a square sweep path, and the profile being half of the curve extending to the centerpoint of the skylight.

Like i said, i made mine a while back, so my memory is a bit foggy... But i believe i went down that path, and Revit didnt like it because it was rotating in on itself. It just says it cant make the sweep...

Thanks twiceroadsfool!
that's what I was looking for.... I got a remodel job that has one of these less the curb... someone just screwed the plastic dome to the sheathing and caulked and caulked and caulked... you get the picture... but my client loves revit and likes to see the "actual" product...

I love revit too... but sometimes clients get a little carried away!!

Thanks again!:)
