Filled region trouble

I am drawing a filled region on a plan view
and when I finish the region it disappears.
I have tried several types of fills
don't see an option in visibility settings for filled regions
any ideas?

Is your plan view set to wireframe. If you're using invisible lines when sketching the region it might appear to dissappear (??) in a wireframe view.

ok It has something to do with the fact that the view
is a roof plan, I tried it on onother plan view and it works fine
I tried extending the view range to unlimited but no effect.????

Problem solved,
I made everything visible in the view and the fill showed up,
just not sure what category filled regions are in.
