Hello Everyone,

I'm trying to import a relatively small/simple residential garage preliminary design I did in SketchUp into Revit to do construction drawings. Does anyone have any hints or tips on how to do this? The plan information imports fine, but none of the vertical or 3D info gets imported. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

you'll probably want to import it during the creation of a mass element... and be sure that you select the option that allows the import to be displayed in all viewports. after it's imported you can use the object-by-face commands to begin getting things in Revit terms.

You will be pleased to know that there is a tutorial covering this very same activity. One of the new tutorials for Revit 9.0. It is under "Importing and Exporting".
