Would anyone be able to give some advice on the best way to create a wall type legend. I would really like to avoid having to place walls out in space that are unrelated to the model, even if they are in a separate phase or design option.
I have had a rough time getting anything coordinate well.
Thanks in advance

Use a Legend view and just drag-n-drop walls onto it. You can draft over them with detail components to add more information and to get specific keynotes that you can't as easily get with materials. It's not exactly "pure coordination" but it's arguably better than placing walls out in space (and run the risk of having them moved, deleted, etc.)

Thanks for the help. This is what I have been doing. But I have not been able to get the Type marks from this method to coordinate with my wall tags properly. Any suggestions on how I could achieve this.
Thanks

I create a phase before the actual building phases called "Partition Types" and place some wall swatches in the model. Then cut a section and detail them up. It allows me to actually tag the walls - and more importantly - dimension the walls. I also have phases for Curtain Wall Types, Door Types, Window Types. (Basically I only use the legend for pretty picture type legends.)

i use aarons method for other things like groups as well. this allows a "master" copy that you can go to.

Thanks for the advice guys. I give it a shot. Anyone know if they are planning on developing features for this type of issue. I would really rather keep phases for phasing. Admittedly there are a lot of other issues I would prioritize higher.
