New vs Existing

I am trying to play with New and Existing Structure i have a box room i demolished one wall and extend the length of the box as new construction how ever my new elements dont attached to existing ones what i am doing wrong

Please try to 'Edit Wall Joins' so that demolished wall does not stick into combined parallel old-new walls along one side of new building.

Otherwise consider splitting piece of wall which stays near the join. demolish it, and extend new wall to cover that piece.
