Interesting approach, could you explain the process further? I hadn't ever thought of showing studs individually like that.
For walls with door openings that go down to the foundation, I've always left 1/64" at the bottom above the foundation. I know it's cheating, but I haven't found a better approach .... anybody else?

Q2. You could place a Foundation Slab matching your footing thickness to fill the gap and touch-up the joint using the Linework Tool and Invisible Lines.

1. draw a wall with door opening.
2. rename the bottom level to sill plats, and top level top plate, also draw a new level call header line.
3. draw headers at header line level with vertical justification set at bottom
4. draw your opening column (from sill plate to Header Line)
5. draw (two top plates) two 2 x member at top plate level w/ angle set to 90 and vertical justification at top, one of them with geometry offset of 1 1/2"
6. draw (sill plate) a 2 x member at sill plate level w/ angle set to 90 and vertical justification at bottom (see fig 1)
7. now draw beam system using elevation or 3D view
8. set your work plan using face of the wall
9. draw your beam system support line at edge of the wall for sides and bottom of 2 top plates and above sill plate around columns and header on opening (see fig 2)
10. make sure direction is same as wall edge support
11. modify structural beam system property using 2x for member at 1' 4" spacing
you have to do all this with model graphic style wireframe, if you used other views you cant see members with in wall
you can hide your wall in view visibility property and you can see your solid studs see fig3
if you guys have any other way to draw your wall studs please let me know
also let me know if this procedure will create problems later
