Express Tools Breakline command not working in AutoCAD 2007

My command to insert a breakline via the express tools in Autocad 2007 does not work.
I only get the following error message:
Nested error trapping used incorrectly.
Resetting nesting index to 1.*Cancel*
Any help I could get would be appreciated

I thought the express tools were made obsolete in 2007 (they are in ADT2007), do you not have a break tool on your tool palettes in vanilla cad?

Nope! they are still there, it is just some of them have been moved into core AutoCAD.
