Is it possible to ad hyperlinks to objects in Revit?
I know you can place a hyperlink in the URL section of a family but I'm trying to get a hyperlink to work with each instance and for it to be accessible from the drawing window without the need to access the objects properties. ie. be able to click on an object and be taken to the respective URL.
Help appreciated.

Yeah, that would be useful. Maybe a blue link that doesnt print?
What i'm really looking for is to be able to set the back reference in a view title as a hyperlink back to the sheet or detail of origin.

You can hyperlink from the pdf of the drawings if that helps.

Hyperlinks in a 3d export would be really slick... We did this once with Digital Project, and it works phenomenally, for instances where you want to provide some other medium than paper... IE, rotating .gif's with dimensions, exploded axons, etc.
yeah, its stupid if the deliverable is still going to be paper, but if its not, then why be limited to the standard paper format?
In any event, it worked well... Hovering over an object that was hyperlinked would put the link at the mouse pointer, to go wherever... I wouldnt mind seeing that in this platform one bit... :)

I'll take that to mean 'NO'. Thanks for the other tips and info.
AutoCAD has the functionality where hyperlinks can be added to any object and then a standard MS ctrl+click will allow you to follow the link. This then also translates to DWF prints.
