I went into the file keyboardshortcuts.txt and modified the "F5" key to zoom previous as follows:

"F5" menu:"View-Zoom-Previous Scroll/Zoom"

"ZP" menu:"View-Zoom-Previous Scroll/Zoom"

Unfortunately the reprogrammed F5 key does not zoom previous like I want it to.

I closed Revit Structure and restarted like the help file suggested.

Any help?

I've tried resetting F5 to a different function before with no luck as well. Try a different function key. It worked for me. There may be something special about the Refresh command, which is set to F5 by default in Revit Building, though it's pretty useless for me. Maybe cause I finally got a compatible graphics card.

Thanks Matt I used the F4 key.

F5 is special because it follows Windows standards to implement Refresh. Similarly F1 is wired to bring up Help and I doubt you can reprogram it to do something else.
