Anyone have any idea on how to add to this family i have created to make it fully parametric?
Its a reverse swing door with correct frames, however i cannot get the frames to work correctly with different sized openings as the sweeps "scale" in both x and y planes instead of just in the X plane.
Any help would be appreciated, i have a reverse swing door with incorrect frames that works, but would like this to work.

Ben,
Hey buddy! I don't have the ability to check your file as of yet, but this sounds eerily familiar. I would go into the Family, and check to see if the geometry for the frame is locked/dimensioned and have their own reference planes. IF not dimensioned properly, this would account for the item 'growing' or scaling as things get larger -and not being 'controlled' or consistent. I typically would set parameters up to control the items that get modified and place fixed dimensions for those items that will remain static or consistent.
I hope this helps you!

Hey kyle, yeah i have ref lines and quite a few constraints. The door frame is 2 seperate sweeps, i think thats whats causing part of the problem...as they follow the framed opening and are not in the direction of egress (path of sweep)
Its not that critical, but if you have a chance sometime let me know.
Thanks

Maybe just being nit-picky here but you said Reference Lines... did you mean Reference Planes?
I've had to fix some families my fellow Reviters have made in my office who used RefLines instead of RefPlanes. From what I've read the only reason to use RefLines is either to control angles or, sometimes, as a secondary reference since Planes push Lines but not the other way.
Hope you post back when you get it working... would be interested to see what you've done.

I think this one works the way you want.
You still have to activate the other paramaters ... sorry I did't noticed them earlier....

I fixed it also....the profile path was not locked to anything, and extra dims inside the profile sketch were causing things to get out of whack. Generally, the profile sketch will retain its sketched dimensions without needing to dimension the heck out of it. If the frame size needs to flex, then you need to set up Ref Planes, dimension those, then add the sketch geometry to the Ref Planes and lock them.
Also, you may want to change the profile sketch of the door frame to not have the small radiused edges. In 3D, all these small curves are really goona impact performance of your model, and you will never see them! If you want the frame to display like that in plan/section, then use symbolic lines to show it, not the 3D geometry. And I would simplify the profile to not be a set of lines 1/16' apart....I would draw the inside part of the profile to hug the wall that the door is cutting, rather than the actual steel profile. You will never see the inside of it. Again, in plan, you could use symbolic lines in the family to represent the frame.
