Concrete Lintel & Concrete Lintel Schedule

We're new RS users and are trying to think ahead and would just like to throw this out there for any feedback - does anyone know if there is a way to associate lintels with openings. We often use concrete walls so essentially a lintel is extra reinforcing in the wall rather than a separate element (unlike when using a steel lintel). Our understanding on this matter is that RS will derive the elevations and we will have to sketch in the concrete lintels (rebar). Is there a way to associate the two so that if an opening is updated architecturally the lintel will update or give a warning to avoid timely checking and back checking similar to how we had to do things in acad. Our firm designs mainly commercial/industrial buildings so we think that it would be far too tedious to add lintels to the many families since there are so many different circumstances. In this being said how should we go about creating an accurate lintel schedule??
