Hi Casey,

Are KSC joists specified by the Steel Joist Institute?

Thanks
Tim

Yes KCS are from the SJI. KCS are designed for non-uniform or concentrated loading. Fromwhat I understand, it's the same profile as the K series. For modeling I would use the K series and then rename it for labeling purposes.

Yes you can use K series joists because the geometry is the same, but wouldn't it be good to make a new family of KCS from K series for structural analysis.
