in Sketch mode, click on slope indicator, be cool if Revit displays pitch and you change it right there instead of through properties dialog. I've seen this wish before, let's see it in Revit soon!

Does anyone know if this exists: a symbol which indicates roof pitch when you select the room in section or elevation.
Any/all help is appreciated.

Are you asking for something to annotate with? There are anotation families for roof pitch...right and left at www.rugi.com

I couldn't find anything on rugi.org. I'm trying to make a generic annotation symbol myself but i'm having a little trouble with it.
when i insert it into the model it is way to big. I think it's controlled by the view scale and they text (for rise/run of the roof) doesn't stay close to the vertical/horizontal line. I'm new to creating family and such but it seems like it can be done.

Thanks a lot Steve.
I didn't even think to look under the most obvious place (roofs)
Here's one that i made yesterday; but I can see that the ones you posted are better. Although mine will change the rise dynamically, it changes the type parameter which is not the way to go.
thanks again.

Import into your project, go to a section or elevation view...
select the DRAFTING button on the design bar, then SYMBOL...
you should see the roof pitch symbol in the list...there is a symbol for each pitch...1:12 thru 12:12. Right is intended for annotating the "right" side of a roof in a view and the left...

Steve,
I've used these annotation objects, but I have a question that might be one of those "Duh" questions. How do I change the font used in them? I've gone into the family editor, but cannot find it there.

The 12" and rise are text and the pitch is a dimension style family.
Presumably you're talking about the dimension style family as the other text is a straightforward edit under properties.
For the dimension style, from the roof pitch annotation family, open properties, edit and you can change the font, size etc there.

Alright. . . DUH! How could I have missed that one? Nevermind, don't answer that one.
