I just got back from a brief vacation to discover that we had some major printing hang-ups while I was gone. We are submitting a project for a Master Use Permit and so we needed to show a shadow study in plan at various times of the year. This drawing (one sheet - 4 views) took - on its fastest attempt - 1.5 hours where the computer looked completely hung-up before it spit out a plot file. Is this normal? Has anybody else encountered this? We are running this on new, fast machines with at least 1 gig of ram. Help?

One Gig isn't what it used to be...
I'd suspect the RAM & graphics capabilities - you're really stretching the 3D capabilities of any system

Yah, I'm having a little bit of trouble convincing IT of this though...must find more allies.
As for the plotter - it is an Oce TDS600.
