Has anyone else noticed that annotation families and symbols disappear when near crop boundaries? See attached. What's causing this?

I had that exact same problem, except with interior elevation marks. To tell the truth, I do not know what had caused it, but I had just created a new one, why don't you try that.

From the information given I can't tell....

Is that a portion of a sheet? Is there a crop boundary of another view in the middle of your stairs?
I never experienced that...

No, the crop boundary is out where it is supposed to be, but for some wierd reason when you compress the crop region in, for example; to make room on a sheet, it starts cutting away at annotations in the middle that shouldn't be affected.

If that is the case, I can't help you....this has never happened to me since I first started working in revit...

Attached is another example. When I move the stretch the region up, the symbol disappears.
(using 9.0 btw)

Can you please attach the emergency exit sign here? Thanks

If this only happens to a particular annotation I would open it up and check to see if there are any stray reference planes that may be causing this. Just a guess.
