Hi all....

i recently imported some manufacturer's CAD details (2D) and along with
them came some hatches/filled regions.
What's happening now is that when i go to edit a material pattern, the dialogue box almost locks up because the scale of the imported patterns is so small that they take ages to regen within the box itself.
I've deleted all the ones visible under the "Family" menu within the Browser, and replaced all of these regions i could find within the model/project - and purged - BUT still these "rogue" patterns are appearing within the Fill Patterns dialogue boxes!!

Anyone had a similar experience.... with an answer to the problem?

TIA

Adam

Explode the dwg's before importing them into Revit. There is no quick way to purge fill patterns. Purge will only deal with filled region types. The only way is to delete them 1 by 1 in the fill pattern dialogue box.

Hence explode before import!

I have deleted the filled region patterns completely from the pattern types, but they are still appearing in the drop-down menu from the element properties dialog box. Does anyone know how to delete these???

thanks in advance to the one who knows...

File > Purge unused > Detail Items > Filled Regions. Select the ones you want to purge. If they are not in use, they will be deleted.

Note: Make sure nothing else is selected, otherwise it will be purged too!
