In the attached image, the area outlined in red is a mechanical platform 7 feet above the adjacent second floor. I've created a plan region for this area that includes the two visible stairs, one at each end of the platform. I've also drawn a third stairway going from the mech platform up to the attic space. I've checked the view range: top is the attic space, cut plane is 2 feet above the mechanical platform (10 feet above the 2nd floor), the bottom & the view depth are both set to the 2nd floor. All the stairs look fine in section & 3d views.
But one stair appears cut with an UP arrow, the other is uncut with a DN arrow, and the 3rd stairway doesn't want to show up at all! I've tried changing the view range settings and can't seem to get them to appear as they should. Is this a known issue? Is there something else I'm missing? Any ideas anyone?

Stairs don't play nice with non-orthagonal plan regions. Plan region has to be orthagonal and completely encompass the stair in question for the stair to be cut correctly.

There was a similiar post a couple weeks ago.... Do a search for plan regions.

That did it. It seems it also has to include the UP-DN text. It also seems that if any part of the stair assembly is even touching the plan region, it doesn't work.
Thanks!

Also... It seems that once I got it to display correctly -- had the plan region defined to include the text -- I can then move the text and it doesn't mess it all up again.
