Material library on network.

Is there any good guidance out there on setting up an office wide material library? Haven't quite grasped the saving materials to different locations bit yet .

If you go Settings>Options you can add more material libraries. What I would suggest is to copy your current default materials (coloured in red) to a folder on the network. Then add a folder in the options section that links to that folder on the server(coloured in blue).

You would have to then tell all the other machines to do the same thing. This will allow everyone to create a default place for your materials that can become your office standards and can be used over many different version of Revit. Just a side note, if you create a new material always save it under the user section and not in the sections. This will ensure that your materials will register over all versions and other machines without losing info.
