I want Revit to take me to a selected object in a schedule.

Steve,
How would this work? If, for example, you double clicked on a door number in a door schedule would Revit then open up the appropriate plan and zoom in on that particular door?
Sounds like that could be helpful.

Yup, kind of like the find referring view function when you right click in a view. Anywho, double click or picking a button would either take you to the level the door is "anchored" to or offer the views in which it will be visible. That way you could potentially go to an elevation of the door instead.

like it!
Then when one prints PDF's or DWF's, this becomes another link that is built into the set.
It needs the ability to zoom into the appropriate area to be really cool.

Actually, I'd like to take it one step further.
I'd like to see an option which lets you bring up a properties box every time you insert a door or window to assign the door parameters as you insert them.
My thoughts are driven by a need later than having placed a door. It is more like: I've got this door numbered 686 even though I thought I carefully labelled all my doors on the plans with room number based numbers. So where the " " is this 686???? If Revit could take me to the door it would save me a bunch of "effort" hunting it down. (as it turns out, the door is often in a different phase, like existing)
Your notion of filling in data as you place a door is more akin to the option to do so with ADT. Not a bad idea at all, just different in focus.
You are placing doors and want to do some data entry right then true? Most of my efforts so far have been to deal with doors on the backend when the floor plan is locked down more and we've moved beyond the where to the what.
Oh, and shame on me for giving such a yucky explanation of my wish in the first place.
