Deleting Instance parameters

I have created a family consisting of a concrete beam with circular openings in Revit Structure 3. I used this as a starting point for the same with rectangular openings, and deleted the original dimensions (which had instance parameters) and added some new dimensions with instance parameters. It works OK, but now I still have the dimension parameters from the dimensions that I deleted. How can I delete the original parameters?

go into the family type editor, select the unsued parameter and use the delete button located on the left hand side under add, modifiy, etc.
