I have a project including the topo, trees, paving etc. with 20 revit file linked small apartment unit buildings. I want to render the site, so I opened a 3d view, oriented to the top and hit render. It seems to run through processing then quits and doesn't start to render. What gives?

The progress bar sits there and grinds, then it hits 100% and hasnt done anything?
Ive had Revit do this as well (both 8.1 and 9.0) when im trying to render a really large file. Ive found if i save/STC, completely close out of revitand go back in the problem stops.
BTW, where in East Hampton? I just relocated back upstate from the Hamptons...

That is it. Goes and goes and never even begins the rendering. I tried moving both the site and the unit file to my computer and disabling the network adapter. Still nada.
I did try importing just one unit on a tiny site w/ only one tree. That worked.
I'm on Newtown Lane, EH --- DiSunno Architecture.

Are the trees RCP's? Any other RCP's in the file? They have been my bain in rendering. Also, are you using a crop box to reduce how much of the model is getting computed when rendering a specific view? What are your other rendering settings. Best bet is to slim down how much the computer has to computate. What does the journal file say? Depending on what it says you may or may not get support from A-Desk.

Chris, does it still do it if you completely exit Revit (not just the file)? Ive had that issue, and that seemed to solve it.
BTW, pretty funny about Newtown Lane... I was living up the street for a short time when i was there. used to love jogging to the beach from there. Haha...
