Can a model pattern be placed on a circular roof. I'm trying to place 'model shake pattern' to a roof which displays fine on all but the circular section.

We had problems doing the same thing, with a similar shake model pattern, trying to put it on an in-place cone-shaped roof over a round turret on a building. Would like to know if there's a solution. I'm guessing probably no, because it would have to "facet" the model pattern in some way, using angles, which I would guess there would have to be settings for.

You cannot put a hatch pattern onto a conical shaped roof, however since it is a turret, you might want to use this work around. Instead of making the roof by extrusion from a circle, choose a multi sided polygon instead, such as 20 or 26 sides. Then you can put a hatch pattern on it and yes it will show up in all views! Wahoo. Technically speaking, a circle is actually a series of very minute straight lines!

Fill patterns have a hard time on curved surfaces. For instance the surface pattern on a curved ceiling shows really bad on the screen. Luckily, it prints out fine. Have you tried printing your turret with the surface pattern on it?
