How is it possible to make a different profile for the top and bottem of a window frame. A picture is added for if it's not clear what i mean, it's a really rough illustration.
When i try it this way i get a warning that the sweep cannot be created

Try making two sweeps. Maybe these each can be part of a single extrusion.

One profile per sweep path will do it.

Yes, don't try to do to much at a time, sometimes when you go 'All In' Revit doesn't like it...

Hope this helps,

Thanks, it gave me a fresh view on making a profile. I used voids and extrusions. Its a good way to make a wooden profile.

dmi3,

I have taken to creating profile families for each window or door extrusion. The load (or nest) them into your window or door family, and use them as the sweep profile, instead of sketching. If your making a lot of similar windows, this will save a lot of time, and becomes very easy to simply copy a family and modify the sweep paths.

Good luck,
Graham
