Is there a drawing template available somewhere that I can use to check the layering standards of detail blocks I have?

We are slowly making the move to NCS, and I was going to start by getting all of our details up to snuff. If there were a dwg that has all the NCS layers, I could use that as a standards file. Correct? If not, what would be the best way to go about getting 400-500 details up to NCS standards?

Much Thanks,

Hi there, I'm going to move this post from the CAD Management General Forum to this one, as I believe it will be better served here. Thanks.

I could use that too. We would only use a couple of those layers due to the nature of our business (metal industry), but it would be nice to conform to the standards for when collaborating.

Much Thanks,Hi Stusic,
Afraid we use ISO 9001 over here. But for what it's worth I find using Scripts (http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/index?siteID=123112&linkID=2475897&id=3022740) to be one of the best ways to update that many details. The first few files can be painstaking, as you try to foresee every eventuality, but once you've got it rolling, you'll become an instant legend in your office.

Having done a quick search on the forums, I’ve come across this thread.
(Albeit only of interest if you decide to go down the script route.)
Here’s the link to Autodesk (http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/item?siteID=123112&id=4091678&linkID=2475161) for AutoCAD 2004, mentioned in that thread.

I am in the process of comming up with one for my company.....But haven't had time to finish it yet. I am also on one of the committees that is revising the NCS and know that there is going to be changes in this revision to the layering guidelines so i have been holding out on completing my template until i see all the changes that are approved.
