View Full Version : Can you wall lock sweeps to levels?

I’ve created a wall with recessed metal channel sweeps. This works fine for all walls where the Base is the same. However, where I have a wall that starts at a different level then the sweeps do not align. (I’ve omitted the wayward sweeps in the attached image)

Is it possible to lock sweeps to a level datum, rather then from the bottom of the wall? After all, sweeps do tend to follow levels.

Rather than place the sweeps as part of a vertically compund wall, you could place them using the "host sweep" command under "modelling".

What I do is place the sweeps in the major piece of walls as part of the wall definition, then follow up the odd ones with the host sweep. I've also done my sweeps to be defined from the wall tops if there are more walls that have that in common.

Exactly as tomdinmn said. You should use stand alone wall sweeps rather then "integral" ones. When you place them using the Host Sweep tool, you can click several walls and the sweep will continue on them.
