In-Place Family showing up in View

I cut a section to look at the ceilings in this area of the project and when doing so a column(in-place family) 40 feet away showed up in the view. Curious why this is. My far clip active is on and does not show items a lot closer in view than the column. Please see attached DWF's.

If an in-place family is cut by a section everything in front of and behind shows in the view.

If you have two inplace family member objects on each side of the section cut, they'll both show.

Workaround is to have a separate in-place family for each object, or in your case column.
