If I take an OTB wall (Interior 4 7/8 Partition) and unlock the top of stud so I can have the stud go up to underside of deck and have the gwb stop 12” above ceiling I get strange results in my Material Take Off. If I make the stud stop below the gwb the gwb area is calculated to the top of gwb like it should be. When I extend the stud above the gwb the gwb area is calculated to the top of stud. Am I doing this wrong. My test file is attached. V9.1

I get the same result. Strange behaviour if you try unlocking and extending or shrinking layers...
If most of your sheetrock walls are at a uniform height, i.e 9'-0", you could create a stacked wall with the fixed lower sheetrocked wall, set at 9', and then have the upper part (metal stud only) variable.
It should report out correctly then.
