Turning off the room calculator

I've heard you can turn off the room calculator device, that will increase performance drastically. This is not the same as turning the visibility off.

Is this true?

If you are referring to calculating room volume, there is a setting under "Settings/Room and Area Setting", look for the check box "Compute room volumes".

Off in Revit Building and Revit Structure but "On" in Systems from what I remember. It is a
project based setting so it can be set in your template to which every way you want.

I've turned it off but i haven't notice any speed enhancements. I thought it might make a difference.
