iS THERE A GENERIC WINDOW FAMILY OUT THERE? i NEED A GENERIC HORIZONTAL SLIDER/SINGLE HUNG/FIXED WITH 3.5" TRIM. tHE WINDOWS THAT ARE IN REVIT DONT MEASURE RIGHT...THEIR DIMS SEEM TO BE INSIDE THE TRIM LINE?? i AM WORIED THAT IF I GET INTO THE FAMILY EDITOR THAT i WILL WAST A DAY.

it's now or later... the Family Editor is the key to getting Revit to do what you want... but no, I can't help you (commercial work doesn't use these sort of windows very often) - luck

I've used the Revit window in all my projects. I've just did a save as and changed them to suit my needs. If you know how to use the family editor it's pretty simple.

CDV Systems has a 1.5 hr video tutorial on the Family Editor for $30. Learn all about the Family Editor and you can do a window in 15-20 minutes. We don't have any slider windows (yet) or I'd post one.

Oh ok, cause it only takes me 5 minutes. Make the Number of Lights 1 for a generic window.
