Need help with AREA Boundary

Hi, I try to create a area with 6" boarder area around. but I can't get the 6" boarder area calculated. I found that I need at least 11" boarder area to get the boarder calculated.
Is any way I can have the 6" boarder area calculated and color fill?

AlexIt's sounds strange, I will try to see if there are any problems, but I had area boundary lines very close to eachother and it worked, I just never trieda 6" border around a room before...but currently my Revit is trying to print a very large file...

Alex,

which release of Revit are you using? When R9 first came out this was a problem. It has since been fixed in subsequent builds and 9.1.
The area tool would not consider spaces less than 10-12" if memory serves..

I am using 9.0, ok..ok.. I will install 9.1 today to try.
