Hi,

I am wondering how others would approach this:

I need to model an underground parking lot which is basically square, with the driveaisle and parking configured in a "C" shape. One end of the "C" needs to be at -5'-3" with a gradual slope to 0'-0" at the other end of the "C". I have tried using a Ramp, but wondering about some kind a floor family.

Thanks,

Sounds like a case for a slope arrow to me.

Hi Pete,

Thanks for the quick reply.

I just had a go at it and I was disappointed that there is no curved, or multiple slope arrows. What I have now basically looks like what I had before except now it is a floor - it'll work, and I can't spend too much more time on it.

sounds like you need 3 floors with slope arrows, then join the geometry together. Each 'leg" of the C-shape would be its own floor.

(edit: actually 5 floors, 2 slabs for the corners, see image)

...and maybe a ramp.

You could also always do it as an in-place family as a floor. Will still behave as a floor, ie: walls will attach. And that way you could be a lot more detailed in the slab. ;)
